With the Middle East gripped by another war in which the direct combatants are deliberately targeting each other's civilians and civilian infrastructure resulting in mounting casualties, it is imperative that the violence be halted as soon as possible. Accordingly the United States must rediscover impartiality and join with the international community in demanding an immediate end to the violence especially since with each hour it continues, more people fall victim and the risks of economic disruption and recession including to the global economy (from rising oil prices and the increasing cost of rebuilding), disease and famine grow along with hardened emotions of hate.

At the same time, the United Nations (UN), which has remained powerless to date, must enact immediate constructive reforms to end its paralysis. Learning from its failure to stem the genocide currently being committed in Darfur as well as past genocides (e.g. Rwanda, Bosnia, Cambodia, etc.) along with its ineffectiveness and inability to address regional conflicts such as today's Middle East war, a veto override mechanism must be introduced. It would work in the following way -- when a single permanent Security Council member vetoes a proposed resolution, such a veto would be overriden if 2/3 of the General Assembly votes to do so followed by the approval of the Secretary-General, who today serves as not much more than a mere figurehead with no real authority.

At the same time a plan encompassing the below listed 7 points should be adopted since it is the only reasonable and impartial means of ending the 2006 Middle East War and providing the region with solid footing on the path to lasting peace. Unless the blame game is stopped and fairness and even-handedness are used, the guiding principles of my 7-Point plan, lasting peace may never be established since simmering feelings of bitterness and resentment will linger through the generations.

1. An immediate cessation of hostilities by ALL sides followed by a two-year ceasefire in which NO side is permitted to engage in attacks, assassinations, incursions, and interference in the other's internal activities and politics (since it is unrealistic to demand one side to renounce violence and not the other, the key impediment currently embodied by Israeli-U.S. policy). During this period Palestine, Lebanon, and Israel would be permitted to operate their airports, border crossings and countries as they see fit within the context of existing UN resolutions and international law.

2. An agreement by ALL sides not to seize prisoners from foreign territory (e.g. Israel could not seize prisoners from Palestine, Hezbollah could not seize prisoners from Israel, etc.).

3. An agreement to release IDF prisoners with a firm commitment by Israel to the United States, European Union (E.U.), and Russia who would act as guarantors that Israel would subsequently follow the spirit of the Oslo Accords and release ALL Palestinians, Lebanese, and Arabs held in their prisons at the time of their choosing not to exceed 6 months. This would avoid the linkage that Israel rejects and provide the much-needed spirit of reconciliation to quench the flames of vengeance. Each side must love the others' children as much as they love their own, respect each other as the human beings they are along with their feelings, and value the preciousness of life, including the lives of others.

4. The immediate establishment of foreign grants to assist Palestine, Lebanon, and Israel with the rebuilding process under the conditions that such aid could only be used for civilian infrastructure and compensation to victims and their families, and that a violation of points 1-3 would lead to a forfeiture of promised monies not yet received, grants received would revert to loans with immediate repayment required and punitive fines as seen fit by the World Court.

5. Implementation of ALL UN resolutions pertaining to EACH of the sides with the guarantee that this implementation will be completed within two-years. The present demand that Lebanon honor UN resolution 1559 while Israel gets a free pass on 242 is unrealistic and not feasible.

6. Upon completion of the implementation of ALL UN resolutions, the two-year ceasefire would become permanent. Afterwards ALL sides and parties of interest would declare and sign off on their recognition of a two state solution consisting of a viable and contiguous Israel and Palestine and their historical and legitimate right to exist within their borders as determined and created by UN resolutions and international law. Compensation (determined by the World Court) and housing would be provided by the international community to Palestinian refugees and their descendants, and to affected Israelis to address Palestinian calls for "right of return" and dismantlement of Zionist settlements, respectively.

7. Finally in the interest of world peace, the Middle East would be converted into a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and nuclear-weapons free zone, requiring Iran to cease nuclear-weapons and WMD development and production activities, Israel to dismantle and turn over existing nuclear and WMD stockpiles to the United States or Russia for destruction and to cease nuclear-weapons and WMD development and production activities, an all states to formally renounce nuclear weapons and other WMD. As an incentive, the United States, Russian and the E.U. could sign off on an "umbrella" security agreement in which they guarantee the defense of Israel and Palestine as long as neither initiate a conflict with each other and/or their neighbors viewing an attack on any one of these states as an attack on their own countries.

If this 7-Point plan would be adopted, the 2006 Middle East War could immediately end sparing additional casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure and regional and global economies with the very real prospect of achieving lasting peace by 2008. As Martin Luther King eloquently stated during the September 1963 funeral for three of the Birmingham Church bombing victims, "Good still has a way of growing out of evil. The blood of these girls must serve as a revitalizing force to bring light to this dark city."[1] Thus there can be reason for hope and even optimism that good can arise from the evil of today's conflict with the blood of Israelis and Arabs bringing much needed light to current Middle Eastern darkness.

Peace in the Middle East Possible - the history and the Bible team until the answer to this Question

I saw one day a journalist interviewed a Muslim student in the Conference Room of one of the most prestigious schools in America. The young man was decorated with a silk transmitter and seemed to come from a very wealthy Arab family, that I have assumed. When asked if Israel had a right to live in peace in the land they held now as their homeland, he becomes agitated and indignant. He said, "that is Israel and that history have, who has already heard of Israel before now.".

His ignorance of the long history of Israel in the land they now have with the poor reflection he left academic schools gave me in amazement. This is yet more typical that anyone could suspect. The average U.S. other than those who attended Bible College or Seminary has little or no knowledge of the history of ern Middle East.

History of Israel and the Arabs is inexplicably linked to history and the well-being of all other nations around the world. Prophecy of history and the Bible are together the two reaching a glance in the past and a view from the future. When in 1948 Israel returns to his former former homeland and then resumed Jerusalem in 1967 at his enemies who outnumbered them is a time she beats every record in the history of our world. No nation has returned to its geographic limits old after having been subject to another nation or dispersed for more than fifty years and become a nation free and independent, except Israel.

Since the time of Abraham and downward through age Golden Israel and until the time the message of the prophets and the historical record spoke with one voice to warn the world and to bring to fruition each major prophecy in the Bible. So what is this message?

In simple terms, the Bible says that when Israel occupies its original homeland and Jerusalem there is yet a generation for the man until the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Beginning after the day six war after which Israel resumes Jerusalem clock started ticking. Unfortunately, this is not a promise of peace for Israel or one of the nations. It is instead the signal of multiple events more than will rock the world.

At the same time that Israel returns nationhood the Bible said that a great world power will begin forming in the same geographical boundaries as the former Roman Empire. The European Union or the European Union began to form around 1955 and unknown to the average person today becomes the largest block of nations never seen in the history of the world. Currently, it controls nearly half the worlds of shipping, has a three times higher than the United States of gross national product and when military power is finally merged together will no doubt be the most powerful entity in the modern era.

It is in this new power which will emerge the most virulent dictator and more success, that the world has ever known. It is a military and political genius that DeVore on the world economic system will be left in each nation, language, and the tribe of the Earth. It will make Hitler look like a choir boy and he succeed at a speed such that one train resistance to all the before it has the world reeling. The Bible does not specifically name the final dictator, but it is well known worldwide as the Antichrist.

That all this means for Middle East... a lot? When Israel failed at the time of attendance (first coming of Christ) prophets had already predicted that it would be dispersed through the world and hunted and killed as outcasts. History already has said that a part of history. Approach of the latest generation of its prophets has said that she would have drawn and collected around the world to his native country, although always hated and harassed by all its neighbours and enemies.

Wars and skirmishes will continue and during a short period with the help of the Israel Antichrist will know a few years of relative peace. Finally the Antichrist will show that his true face of the world and Israel is no exception. It will be repeated and other nations will be trampled by the bias of Jerusalem for three and a half years. When comes the final assault Israel will be defended and delivered by the Savior, she dismissed him.

Peace in the Middle East? Yes, but not up to what history has run its course and the prophecy which is pre-written after all only history is completed.

Obama calls for peace negotiations, despite the obstacles (AP)

The Iran is really undermining peace in the Middle East

As most of the United States people are looking far Middle East and the rest of the world - and to the tragic events of Tucson, there are some very serious developments happening. Right now, we have hundreds of shot to the Brazil people and the massive floods in Australia also. But this is not all, did you know that the representatives of Hezbollah in the Lebanon, quit and walked out of Parliament - essentially close the leadership of the Government.

Worse still, is the reason behind it, that they were told by the Iran to leave the school. During this time, cooperative Hezbollah are training how to SCUD missiles on a military base in Syria. Last year they have clandestinely lots for missiles, to the Lebanon even if they have not made since the last war. However, Hamas has on their side. The Iran is also very well (continually) of undermining our efforts to help the new Iraqi Government to control and stabilize things.

The other day I was discussing this with international knowledge, and they asked me; "This which would make Iran stop undermining." Difficult to say, as it really is a serious matter and the worst Iran believes he has the right to participate, and they are Shia and Sunnis don't like. Iran so, will always be a problem, and hopes to stop sectarian violence is therefore a hard fought road. Some say that it will never be y civility complete streets, unless the Iraq dates back to the decision with an iron-fist, which nobody really wants to.

Now the Iran is a real problem and they are completely undermine peace in the Middle East, and if they are not made to stop the instigator, it is difficult to see how things will not degenerate in the future, perhaps not completely out of control. Now, Israel has pumped up its military force along their borders, some believe that he could attack the military base of the Syria, which is Hezbollah training officers. Fundamentally, being with the help of the Iran Hezbollah has been recharged itself with more missiles and rockets, this longer time to address Israel.

The Iran strategy usually includes the use of proxy terrorist and insurgents to destabilize things. They are thus in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Lebanon. Some military experts believe even that the Iran and the Venezuela are now in collusion with one another, perhaps proxy terrorist training to attack the United States. It is difficult to say how much happens, but the Exchequer now seems to expand on the world and the Iran is undermining peace. Please consider this.

US will help seal the Israel-Palestinian peace: Jordan (AFP)

AMMAN (AFP)-peace between Israel and the Palestinians will be sealed with U.S. help, Jordan's King Abdullah II said Saturday as he urged American businessmen to invest in his country.

"Jordan's commitment to the future is secure. It has driven our long work for regional peace. .. and with the help of the United States, succeed in peace, "said the Jordanian monarch, who held talks this week in Washington with us officials.

Abdullah II do not give any reasons for his optimism.

His remarks come a day after the isrælske prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu told us President Barack Obama in the Oval Office against chasing what he called a Middle East peace "based on illusions.

Netanyahu promised explicitly Israel would never return to the 1967 borders and laid down a number of non-negotiable conditions for peace talks--one day after Obama urged Israel to accept a return to territorial lines in place before the 1967 Arab-isrælske war, with the mutual land swaps with the Palestinians to frame a secure peace.

The Jordanian monarch invited in the meantime, U.S. businesses to invest in his country.

"Our same faith in the future is driving our determination to open the doors to enterprise and opportunity," he said.

' But we can't do it alone. We need partners to build prosperity that lasts--in my country and in my region, "he said stressing the region offered 350 million consumers and enormous potential.

Israel's offer of peace prize palkinnonsaajat

20 April 2011, last updated at 12: 52 Cranes in Gilo, East Jerusalem -YOU DO NOT have scuppered peace negotiations in the construction by Israel of dozens of Israeli intellectuals and artists have signed a petition calling the 1967 borders and on the basis of the Palestinian Authority, which expires at the end of the occupation.

The signatories are the 16 highest Israel Prize in the country to honor the winners of the civilian population. Among them is the pioneer in Shulamit Aloni, the rights to the historian Yehuda Bauer and the sculptor Dani Karavan.

The petition also supports the Palestinian drive for recognition by the United Nations, in the absence of progress in the peace negotiations,.

Israel opposes any unilateral move.

On Wednesday, calls for Israeli pullout published notice in the West Bank, where settlement and they take up area covers 40% of the area.

"The end of the occupation, as well as full as the peoples of the area of freedom," it says.

The two-State solution

Sign the petition-Palkinnonsaajat design is also the color of the imeytetty to the dozens of other Israeli artists and intellectuals-if the State of Israel in 1948, in front of the building in May was on Thursday.

Earlier this month, the former Israeli security chiefs and the business leaders also submitted a proposal for the Israeli peace initiative stalled peace group to begin negotiations with the Palestinians.

The moves, originating in the United States intends to ask the Palestinians to have the United Nations General Assembly to recognize an independent Palestinian State on the borders that existed before the 1967 six-day war from the start. This includes the West Bank and Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to a two-State solution; the principle of the social partners have, however, nowhere near consensus on most of the kernel.

The startup of the week in September in a dispute within the US brokered talks collapsed in the occupied West Bank building on top of continued settlement.

Potential role of the media in the promotion of peace in the Middle East

Overall frustration amounting on stalled peace talks in the Israeli-Arab conflict, the Los Angeles Times said in January on how the region could easily descend into an intifada (uprising) just one year after the Gaza war devastating last year. But the conflict is eternally intended to simmer, or y ways that the fourth and fifth estates could begin to operate to the evolution of local attitudes and expectations?

The local media and its Influence.

Local media in the region have traditionally oriented towards the dominant super-serving feelings, indeed to fan the flames of the conflict. Since its launch in 1996, Al-Jazeera, the Qatar on the satellite television station, had a significant impact on public opinion in the Middle Eastmolding. From the point of view to the United States, a large part of the coverage of Al-Jazeera is inflammatory with its broadcast of video footage disturbing the region serving both encourage and reflect popular opinion of the proverbial "Arab Street".

The Internet is more where the viewers are venture to look at the video and social networking sites and citizen journalism begin to adjacent to the traditional news coverage in the region. Thus, administration of Obama should consider adopting a concerted approach to communicate its vision and its intention to the Arab Street, employing several new media tactics such as:

SMS mailing mail lists can be created to send calls and updates. Souktel, an organization in Ramallah, known for its SMS - job matching service, is an example of some emerging apolitical efforts that can be exploited and emulated the aims to develop new channels of communication.

YouTube - posted content, such as the captain Avichai Adraee of the Israeli Defence Forces, an officer of Arabic speaking Israel that appears in an excellent video specifically for the inhabitants of Gaza showing and explaining in full clarity what was happening in Gaza during the war and how Hamas operations in civilian neighborhoods, schools and mosques, have been in danger of Palestinian civilians.

Print - operation of distribution required by newspapers, a media that is generally used as a vehicle of the United States database, based on the print efforts is largely inaccessible in a combative area as the Gaza Strip. However magazines and direct mail, which are much more dependent on the postal infrastructure for the distribution of mail, can easily be used with the placement of advertising in local newspapers such as Amlalommah, Quds News and Samidoon.

Media Interactive, including e-mail marketing, web, portals, alongside direct response telemarketing could rely on the Internet that prevails and telephone access available to residents of Gaza, which, as the rest of the Arab world, are some of the technologies heavier accession smartphone mobile in the world.

Television is widely regarded as the most influential media in the region form. Local stations are operated and run by Hamas. Residents also have access to the television airs much of the stations of satellite Middle East mentioned above and the Egyptian and Israeli, although Israeli stations just a few hours of programming each day of the Arabic language. Yet, none of these non-Hamas stations are Gaza has brought, a blatant opportunity to studios adjacent and transmitters to be built for sending on the air in Gaza channels.

Radio is omnipresent in the region. While its influence has decreased in recent decades, with the advent of satellite television channels, it penetrates still widely and deeply and is quite simple to design, produce and transmit in a small area as Gaza which includes only 360 square kilometresa little more than twice the size of Washington, DC.

Not local

The sponsored U.S. Arab news and entertainment channel 'al-Hurra", was designed in 2004 to help spur democracy and freedom of expression in the region, to exploit the local media to inspire and educate in addition to its traditional roles of entertain and inform. He failed in part because it was considered as a piece of mouth foreign and as such generally not trusted.

Since the launch of al-Hurra, the station has been criticised in the United States, Israel and a large part of Western society as propaganda, cheese, serving a messianic mission supported by the United States and far worse. While these views are indeed valid to some extent, should be role of al-Hurra only to generate a holistic change in regional attitudes?

America has always been a world leader in advertising and the effective use of media. The use of the media in pursuit of public opinion in the Arab Street is woefully behind. Al-Jazeera is already committed streamed video content controversial on its Web site, while also taking advantage of new online media, such as Twitter to provide updates in real time.

The era of war post-Gaza difficult in which no progress had been achieved despite the efforts targeted Administration provides a formidable laboratory in which test the potential effect of the use of multiple forms of media. Rather than follow the model failed al-Hurra, multiple local media platforms can be used to reach, inform, and especially, to move public opinion in combative to collaborative.

Gaza, with its geography compact, is an opportunity for the team of President Obama begin to operate a myriad of local platforms in traditional and new media. By using these local mediums to convey ideas to change public opinion, the administration may communicate directly to the Arab Street a message of peace in the Middle East is beneficial and wishing to worthy achievement, perhaps even during the first term of President Obama.

Peace and conflict - the biggest reason the antagonism of the Middle East to the West

International terrorism is the prodigal offspring of bad blood between Middle East and the Western world. Whereas any person, regardless of religious affiliation, is always inclined to do good, some of our brothers in Middle East went to the dark side to their cause. Instead of accusing them, ask us the question: how it goes this way?

First: Let's talk about the right to self-determination and sovereignty. When the Organization of the United Nations was founded in 1945, a principle with which he has created the most fundamental was mutual respect for the right of each Member to determine how it will go in terms of its internal affairs. The West and the Middle East accepted this, and all two applied for accession to the United Nations with the belief that this right will be confirmed.

Second: Unfortunately, the same right was not confirmed by some countries in the years after the birth of the United Nations. On the one hand, no there is no permanent seat in the security of the United Nations which has been allocated for Middle East, so that they had very little voice in the development of international policy. This poses a big problem for the Arabs, because the world wants. In addition, the world wants their oil.

Third: To make matters worse, the West, the consumer of world energy resources, could not complete the first point. Middle East, the main oil producer, felt manipulated Western funded projects aimed at undermining their right to manage their own natural resources. They felt that West violated their sovereignty. Think about what happened in the U.S. - funded 1953 Iranian Coup d ' État, even Obama its apologized for that, six years later.

This vicious circle of exploitation and manipulation has gone on and on and it is still sometimes up to now. Thus, some Arabs have abandoned on diplomacy and chose to take up arms, where the World Trade Center and the rest.

The solution is simple - respect their and all what will follow.

Peace in the Middle East is an oxymoron

The expression in the Middle East and the peace of Word are so contradictory that, once put in place that they become an oxymoron. An oxymoron, as defined by the American Heritage Dictionary, is "a figure of rhetoric in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined. There are very few things in this world which is more contradictory that the words "peace in theMiddle East" .

As long as there are Christians and Jews in this world, the Arab Islamic fundamentalists will never peace. The Qur'an says, under 5: 54 "Believers O, does Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends." they are friends of the other. Those of you who make friends is one of them. "under 8: 39,"Doing the war them until idolatry is no more and religion of Allah reign supreme." ", under the 9: 123," believers: making war the infidels who live around you. " Let them find the severity you. ", under 2: 191," Slay them everywhere where ye find them and lead them out of the premises from which they have taken you out. "Fighting is mandatory for you, so that you don't like it.". As long as there are Muslims who believe in these orders, it cannot and will not be "middle east peace."

Even if the Hindu fundmentalist succeeds in destroying all the Christian and Jew in the world, it still y not would be peace in the Middle East. Islam has many sects, ie: Shia, Sunni, Sufi, Kahrijite, Wahhabi, Hashshashin (also known as the "Assassins") and more. Many sects believe that the followers of other sects are non-believers because they follow the wrong sect. The only thing that prevents them from destroying the other is the old saying, "an enemy of my enemy is my friend." As long as there are Christians and Jews to hatred, they will be, pretty much, leave each other.

Since the State of Israel has been recognized by the United Nations, the Arab countries tried to "push Israel in the sea". Many Arab leaders have said publicly that "they will not be satisfied until Israel no longer exists". Many Arab leaders openly support the Palestinian terrorists who use the homicide bombers, car bombs and rockets to maim and kill innocent Jewish women and children. They consider even the assassination of Westerners bonus. Given that fundamentalists many believe that "non-believers are the enemies of Allah and they will roast in hell" and that "the idolators are unclean", they believe that "infidels" and "hypocrites" are less human, and that their life has no value. Fundamentalists believe that it is their duty to punish the unbelievers everywhere where they find them.

I realize that all Muslims are fundamentalists and that many Muslims marry a peace. The problem is that fundamentalists are so tough and so mercilessly that most peace for Muslims in the Arab world are afraid to cross, fear they will be treated as "friends" or "hypocritical" and punished accordingly unbelievers. Therefore, they shut up and fundamentalists will continue to govern the Arab world. Some Arabs trying to stand up for genuine peace usually end up in jail or dead.

Some Arab countries are considered as having Governments lay, ie: Saudi Arabia, the Egypt and the Syria and, as such, would likely free of interference fundamentalism. The fact is, none of these Governments could stay in power without the assistance of, or at least the tacit approval of, the fundamentalists. Each of these countries is replete with fundamentalism, note all homicide bombers and terrorists that are exported from these countries. If the leaders of these countries did not have the approval of the fundamentalists, they would be murdered and new leaders would be elected or installed. Saudi Arabia claims to be our friend and ally, but many of their religious schools preach terrorism, and a large number of terrorist leaders come from this country. The Egypt has a peace agreement signed with Israel, and yet weapons are smuggled in the Palestinian daily to Egypt. The Syria is the biggest supporter of the Hezbollah group and is also one of the largest exporters of terrorists in Iraq.

The United States strives to "win the hearts and minds" of the Arab people for decades. Provide us assistance money, we gave Arafat huge amounts of money in order to "help" the Palestinians and he kept most of it for himself, we gave Hussein money to help feed his family and he uses it to his pocket and pay the families of the bombers of the killing and give us billions of $ the Egypt assistance and much talk of peace they still support terrorism. Pay us money to the full bucket in Iraq and they elect an Islamic Government based instead of a secular government. In addition, we pressure on Israel, our only real ally in the Middle Eastto abandon Earth and peace security, even though we know that Islamic fundamentalists will never make peace with Israel.

I may be wrong, but I do not believe that the fundamentalists will never to the United States to "win the hearts and minds" of the Arab people. We can, and probably make their fear us. We cannot, and does make it to love. The fundamentalists will never allow their people to love no more that they will allow "peace in theMiddle East" . It is contrary to their religious principles. They are fanatical and will fight to their last breath. As they are concerned if they die, the fight against us, they will go to paradise. If they live they can go on the fight against the 'infidel' and "hypocrites" thus fulfil the wishes of Allah.

Researcher finds the Peace Plan in the Middle East in modern physics

There is a new paradigm in physics which can be applied to the achievement of peace in the Middle East, according to Stan Tenen, Director of research of the Meru Foundation, a non-profit Sharon Research Institute, MA. This paradigm is called "overlay" and a New plan, it is applicable to the resolution of a main obstacle between Israel and the Palestinians.

In physics, mathematics and engineering, superposition principle describes the overlap of waves and more generally provides a technique to solve linear systems. New said: "in the vision of the world of the 19th century, there was only room for a single winner." When a party has obtained what they wanted, the other did not. By applying a new scientific paradigm is enough space in the reality for everyone of "win ' without resorting to other people to lose."

He says that all organic life contains intrinsic connectivity needed, even though they may serve different functions. "Our liver and pancreas are next to each other, but they have needs and different functions." Each has its own limits, and there is a region of connective tissue and nutrients flowing between them. In physics and organic life, we find a border double when two regions different or two different bodies with different needs are adjacent. »

The New observations are based on a research study of thirty-five years of geometric rediscovered in the Hebrew text of Genesis. Using the principles of physics and topology, he developed what he calls a "geometric metaphor" that presents a mathematical view of stories and parables in the bible. In fact, its Middle East plan comes from a passage in Genesis.

"Find us an application of the theory of the overlay in the policy in Genesis, where Jacob and Laban produce a double limit to end their dispute." 31: 51 52 GEN (translation Kaplan) Laban then said, ' here is the mound, and here is the pillar that I put in place between us. The mound should be a witness, and the pillar must be a witness. I am not to go beyond the butte with bad intentions, and you do not go beyond the butte and pillar. » "

New believes that the idea of a double limit is the key to peace. "In the Mideast, a double limit may provide a double measure of security." At the same time that the area between these limits can provide a Pacific corridor for trade and travel, connecting separated from Israeli settlements, and Palestinian cities so that they can freely interact among themselves and with their own. »

New claims que the principle of a double limit may go beyond the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, he said, "this idea has a unique potential advantage in this region." Muslims are required to make the Hajj journey to Mecca at least once in their lives. Often, this involves travel long distances at great expense. If the land between the green line of the United Nations and the new Israeli defensive fences should become a zone of peace, it could also serve as a Hajj road, to allow Muslims to travel more easily to Mecca and Medina. A double border could go a long way towards giving everyone what they want in Middle East. But the principle is more general. The edge dual principle "Hajj Road" cheap and easy travel and international cooperation would stimulate a social and economic boon in all neighbouring nations that have adopted it. »

Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a Time

Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a TimeThe astonishing, uplifting story of a real-life Indiana Jones and his humanitarian campaign to use education to combat terrorism in the Taliban's backyard

Anyone who despairs of the individual's power to change lives has to read the story of Greg Mortenson, a homeless mountaineer who, following a 1993 climb of Pakistan's treacherous K2, was inspired by a chance encounter with impoverished mountain villagers and promised to build them a school. Over the next decade he built fifty-five schools-especially for girls-that offer a balanced education in one of the most isolated and dangerous regions on earth. As it chronicles Mortenson's quest, which has brought him into conflict with both enraged Islamists and uncomprehending Americans, Three Cups of Tea combines adventure with a celebration of the humanitarian spirit.

A Palestinian wrong way to peace

By Nicola Nasser

When allowed to turn freely, the metaphorical Palestinian compass points in one direction--struggle, Palestinian. But for the most part a person disturbs this compass rigging it to other directions, as in the context of the ongoing lack of the peace process.

Now, how much of the Arab world up in arms against its autocratic rulers Palestinian compass is given another nudge, also in the wrong direction. The Palestinian public organization type, and even Palestine Liberation organisation (PLO) officials tell us, the only way forward is through negotiations more. "The peace process", we want to know, is the only one worth saving from the current sea of Arab dissatisfaction.

It is all reverse in soil of dissatisfaction. A day of dignity has been called probably restore unity in the Palestinian ranks. This will probably lead to further fragmentation. Allow me to elaborate.

Dignity day, held on 11 February, it was not meant to end the occupation, but to lift Gaza's spirit of civilian defiance. "Say no to the division and occupation and in favour of the Government of national unity" is the slogan a second group of organizers have chosen for planned protests on 15 March. The day the PLO plans to call for new presidential elections, legislative and local elections in the hope of regaining enough credibility to pursue its preferred goal to negotiate peace. Organizers tell us that they want a Palestinian State by next September. How many times have we heard this before?

WAFA News Agency, the PLO-Run try to give the impression that this is the only way to the nation. We are either will negotiate peace, or we protest and then negotiate for peace. If there is a point to this argument, I don't see it.

All remember why the current split in Palestinian rows happened? It all began when PLO officials, the endemic trønde in peace, refused to respect the outcome of democratic elections held in 2006. So much of the current dilemma is caused by the PLO simple inability to reconcile peace with democracy.

So far, we have had a peace process, was not so much about ending the conflict, as it was about managing it.
Kind of debates we have had as Rashid Khalidi, the prominent Columbia University professor said was never on self-determination or whether the occupation ends, but to allow Israel to impose its point of view with us blessing every step of the way. This has been the case since the Madrid Conference in 1991. Only practical application of the peace process was to give Israel time to build more settlements, with U.S. approval. The U.S. veto should only a few days ago, on 18 February, put to rest doubts hanging in this respect.

But US officials still leads "quiet" talks with both sides, as Dennis Ross told 2011 J Street Conference. Abbas believes this is the only way forward, but some isrælere is not so sure.

URI Avnery, a long time peace activist and founder of peace movement Gush Shalom (peace bloc), said that the Palestinians have other options. "What will happen if hundreds of thousands of Palestinians started walking to the separation wall and dragged it? What would happen if a quarter of a million Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to gather about our northern borders? What will happen if protesters gathered in numbers on the Al-Manara Square in Ramallah and Al-Baladiya Square in Nablus challenge the occupation? "He asked.

Isrælske peace activist does not say that this can happen today or tomorrow. But the assessment of the way it goes, it cannot be ruled out. Perhaps this is why Obama Senior Middle East Adviser, Dennis Ross admitted that the current situation was "untenable".

And yet the PLO negotiators is to help prolong the situation isrælerne, which gives the false impression that something will happen when everyone else know that things will remain the same. The PLO appears to be holding for the day when the United States or the EUROPEAN UNION made their foot and disseminate a just peace. It will not happen.

In the meantime the PLO continues to suppress they could turn things only two forces: national resistance and a citizen-led Uprising. The PLO is blocking any chance of forward movement, at the same time, give all the impression that it is doing something for people. All it does is to help isrælerne perpetuate a basic untenable situation.

The newspaper Haaretz reported on 2 March, Prime minister Binyamin region Netanyahu worked on a plan for the creation of a Palestinian State with provisional borders as part of interim peace arrangements. We have heard it all before.

Netanyahu plan is nothing new. It is a reproduction of the earlier plans, all with the aim to give the Palestinians a reduced version of the West Bank. Former defence minister, Shaul Mofaz, who is now President of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee, came up with a similar idea, which would have given the Palestinians back about half of the West Bank.

An earlier version of Netanyahu strategy was tried of labour when Ehud Barak was Prime minister. Barak, not complete a promised three-phase withdrawal from the West Bank, pulled the PLO negotiators to a Summit at Camp David in 2000, and then ensured that the Summit would lead to something.

Kadima tried the same, when Ariel Sharon was Prime minister. Arafat snubbed him and was subjected to a cruel siege, which ended in his death. Grab the Netanyahu was Abbas, can he get a similar fate. But Abbas does not seem too eager to take a position.
Arafat stood firm, even when he ran out of options. He told his people the truth. He told them that he cannot give up their rights, froze PLOS participation in negotiations and told the Palestinians that they would have to live and die for their rights. "Millions of martyrs will go to Jerusalem," was his famous last words.

You cannot have a national unity Government, without the need to have credibility. The most Abbas and Prime minister Fayyad has so far suggested is a Government of technocrats. How can the technocrats resolve an issue that is so politically Central? Reconciliation is a political quest and the concessions, it requires no "technocratic" in nature.

The PLO does not partner with Hamas before reconciliation is achieved, told the Fatah Central Committee member Jamal Moheisen Golf news on 28 February. This makes good sense, but reconciliation comes at a price. And so far I do not believe that the PLO is willing to pay that price. The way I see it, the PLO worries more for the peace negotiations than for national unity.

You can not negotiations without resistance, just as you might have democracy without fighting for it, we have always known it, and we have to prove the Intifada. We cannot be United until we are willing to fight against occupation. And we cannot be democratic, until we have learned how to share. So far, neither the sharing or fighting the PLO, and its quest for peace is doomed.

Abbas heads to the United Kingdom for talks on peace (AFP)

RAMALLAH, Palestinian territories (AFP)-Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas is heading to the United Kingdom late Sunday for a one-day visit to discuss the stalled peace process with Israel.

Abbas was scheduled to hold talks with Prime minister David Cameron and foreign minister William Hague on Monday before heading to Denmark.

"Conversations with Cameron and Håg will take the situation in the Middle East, the faltering peace process and isrælske settlement activities, as well as the forthcoming meeting of the Quartet," said spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina Abbass.

Middle East Quartet of peacemakers--United States, which groups Russia, the European Union and the United Nations--is expected to meet in Paris later this month for talks aimed at jump-starting the peace process.

Abu Rudeina said Abbass meetings in London will also examine "ways to support and promote the peace process in isrælske intransigence and continued settlement activities, which have stalled the negotiations."

He said Abbas would also discuss European efforts to support the peace process, which ground to a halt shortly after direct peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians to restart in September 2010 for the issue of settlement building.

Israel has refused to renew a partial settlement construction moratorium which expired shortly after Washington relaunched direct negotiations between the two sides.

The Palestinians have refused to hold negotiations while Israel builds on land they want for a future State, which led to an impasse.

Isrælske media reports in the past week have suggested that isrælske prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu may draw up an interim peace agreement, which would give the Palestinians a temporary mode on a limited part of the West Bank.

But the Palestinians have already said they will not accept any agreement which does not include a permanent solution of all the so-called final status issues, including borders, Jerusalem and Palestinian refugees status.
