' No way ' al-Gaddafi is financed by Sarkozy

17 March 2011, last updated 05: 57 French Interior Minister Claude Gueant (8 March 2011) -ET Mr. Gueant said he could not see how Libya can be any compromising documents, Nicolas Sarkozy, the former head of the presidential election campaign, has rejected the claims of the Col Muammar al-Gaddafi, the son that he has received funding from Libya.

Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi said on Wednesday that Libya is making public all of its 2007 election related Bank connection information.


But French Interior Minister Claude Gueant claimed all of the accounts of the elections, the French Constitutional Council had to be revised.


France has been making efforts to impose a black zone via Libya.


The problem is currently being considered, according to the UN Security Council, the United Kingdom and France, the resolution of urgent and that, in addition, measures are needed, such as the pro Gaddafin forces advance on the rebel-held city of Benghazi with the United States.


Mr President, the Chief Adviser Gueant for four years, told the French radio station Europe 1, if the Libyans had incriminating material about the financing of the Agency's campaign, Mr Sarkozy, instead of "saying the whole time, they should just go ahead and do it."


But he said that all the elections had been inspected only in the financial accounts of the profit that the campaign could be carried out within the framework of the "cheque for a period of not more than 4,600 euros (£ 4,000, $ 6,400)."


Responding to the opposition, however, that Libya had evidence of bank transfers, Mr. Gueant said: "I do not see how they could be [which includes evidence], since such a thing exists."
